Reverend Jennifer L. Butler
Leadership Team
The Reverend Jennifer L. Butler is an ordained minister in the United Church of Christ and the senior minister of First Congregational United Church of Christ, Corvallis.
She is a fellow of both GreenFaith, Parker Palmer’s Center for Courage and Renewal, and the United Church of Christ’s Grassroots Organizing cohort. She works nationally with the UCC as a part of the Just Peace initiative.
Jen explores faith and religious practice as revolutionary acts of courage and restoration in a chronically dis-eased world.
In 2019, her faith community became a safe camp site for 20+ folx living rough and seeking shelter from the criminalization of poverty. That original safe camp site evolved into SafePlace, now a program of Unity Shelter.
