Room at the Inn has a trained staff presence 24/7 and a director of operations. The case manager is onsite 40 hours a week and is working to help women find housing and get them connected with other services.

Room at the Inn is open year-round.  We have 22 beds and serve between 55 and 65 women each year.

We also have a full-time kitchen staff.  Room at the Inn prepares all its meals on-site.  Our on-site staff is very capable, including a trained chef, so it makes more sense to cook all meals on site. Room at the Inn would like to acknowledge the invaluable food provided by our partner, Linn Benton Food Share. We would not be able to afford to provide food for guests without them!

Room at the Inn provides 3 meals a day, showers, laundry facilities and a variety of activities for our guests.  We want to keep our friends busy and engaged in something fun!  We are maintaining strict social distancing.  When a guest leaves the building she must check out and explain why her errand is “essential.”  All staff and volunteers wear masks so that they don’t bring the virus into the building.  New guests must also wear a mask for 7 days after they enter the shelter so that we can be relatively sure they don’t develop symptoms from prior exposure.

Room at the Inn reviews the symptom checklist with each guest, staff member and volunteer daily so we will know if there are any emergent cases.  We have been in close contact with Anita Earl at Samaritan Health Services when guests have a medical need that we can’t take care of.  We are also in close contact with Public Health Nurse, Cindy D’Angelillo, when we have questions or a need arises.
